We came here for our Scout meeting as well as to support a school choir group. It's the first time I've been to a Shakey's in many years, but I was pleased with the food and the service. The place was clean, albeit busy, but they were managing things well and the kids had a good time. :)

I used to go as a child with my parents and the memories of the taste of the pizza, smell of my dads beer, crispy outsides of the mojo potato's and how moist the chicken was always made me happy. The fun arcade like atmosphere was always exciting as a child along with the old timey ambiance. After delivery pizza kind of killed the sit down places and we became used to soggy but home delivered dominoes and the like, I started frequenting higher end pizza places such as Pizzana. Once in awhile I'd try a shakers hoping to recapture the quality of the food, friendly staff and feel of joy I'd get similar to the old ice cream shop Farrels. It was always a huge disappointment as the food was dried and old, service bad and place was filthy at the ones in the Westside or South Bay. Taking a client to lunch one day I had mentioned my love of shakeys as a child and teen in the 80's and how disappointing they are now but, I wanted to go to the one near her home in La Palma for old times sakes. She humored me and said let's try it. I walked in and first thing I noticed was it was clean and lively. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and it was fresh and clean. Then went to order from some of the smiliest and happy staff and sat down. While waiting for them to bring the food, I noticed it was packed. I thought, maybe these people don't know good pizza as I kept apologizing ahead of time to my client. When we got the food it looked different. It appeared fresh and like I remembered. I tried my first mojo and holy crap, it was how I remembered them. I was so happy. Then I tried a slice of pizza and I was elated that it was the old taste I recalled. Later, I bit into my chicken drumstick and the crispiness of the skin hid the juicy and perfectly cooked chicken underneath. I thought it must be a fluke and just figured I'd enjoy the one off. Next time I went to her house, I asked if we could try again. She agreed as she found it delicious. Needless to say, every time I have to go to OC for my real estate clients, I make it a thing to stop there for the consistently perfect food. I've even told friends in South Bay about it and several had made the drive to this location and agreed. Thank you for keeping the quality of what I lived in the 80's. What a random but incredible find.

We booked a 2 hour window for a get together here and everything went smoothly. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is on top of everything. We were constantly asked if we needed anything and get very welcomed. The staff even held our ice cream cake in their freezer which was so appreciated! I highly recommend this Shakey's for any occasion!

Clean and polite. Did I mention clean??? It's Shakeys and it's pizza. But it's one of my favorite pizzas as I have many, many memories of my mom and dad taking us to eat at the local Shakeys or having a surprise at dinner that my dad brought home. We happened by this location as my littlest one had a doctor's appointment at Kaiser across the street. Being early, we dipped in here for a quick bite. We just missed the Bunch of Lunch buffet and crowd, but that was okay with us. We ordered my kids' fav thin crust cheese pizza. I got the special one topping thin crust with mojos and drink for $12.09. Towards the end of lunch, my 9 year old wanted wings, so we got that too. The mojos were cooked just right with a good amount of crispiness. I've had thick slices that were just chunks of potatoes, but these were spot on. The pizza was really good and my kids devoured the wings. But what really stood out to me was the service (!) and constant cleaning. I mean, even the arcade games were wiped down during the down time. There was a very polite and attentive older man who checked on us at least 3 times and brought us plates and ranch and Buffalo sauce. The cashier also checked on us twice. There was also a guy who was vacuuming and sweeping the carpets, and another wiping down all the empty tables. You couldn't tell that the lunch buffet rush was just 15 minutes ago. The customer service was unlike any I had experienced at a pizza joint and the cleanliness was better than most upscale restaurants, much less a causal eatery like this. The only fault is that the attention to clean and detail was missing from the bathroom, but I'll give them a pass. Maybe they haven't gotten to it yet. After all, they were so busy cleaning and wiping and sweeping everything else, I'm sure it was only a matter of time before they hit the bathrooms.

This is the nicest and cleanest Shakeys I've ever been to and I think I've been to 5-6 locations total. Service: Phenomenal. I spoke to the manager Elia on the phone and she helped me make sure we had everything set for my sister's birthday. My sister was floored seeing her name out on the marquee outside--never underestimate the power and magic of Shakey's to brighten someone's day! Elia was great in making sure we were set and then once we got there, Natalie took our order and was helpful in assessing how much we needed to order for our large party. Jacob served us and was soooo friendly and helpful. All of the employees here were very kind Food: the fried chicken came out PIPING HOT! Deliciously crispy and perfectly cooked. The pizza tasted like childhood nostalgia--especially the flat crust pepperoni. Yum. Reminds me of pizza day in school growing up. Location: As I said before: it's CLEAN! Even the arcade area and the bathrooms were clean! This is a really nice location. Also easy parking! Would recommend. Great staff here and one of the best Shakeys locations.

We have been coming to shakey's bunch of lunch for many years now (daily between 11-2pm, 7 days a week) The price is reasonable and the food just keeps coming out. I am a garden veggie and grilled chicken loved so I always get my fill when I visit. The kitchen is not cheap to bring out refills of all food with exception of 15mins before 2 o clock (buffet end time to reduce waste). The dessert cinnamon rolls are so good. It's a perfect treat The arcade area is small but it is suitable for young children. My kids are 5 and 7 and they are content with playing even though there is not a lot of games. They play for a while and come back to eat. I have contemplated about hosting a kids birthday here but you can't reserve tables and it's gets pretty chaotic at bunch of lunch hour. Parking is also limited so if you have a big party, it will be difficult to get parking. Overall, we love the food variety, pricing and the workers who provide good service. Thank you to the nice Chef gentleman always working hard in the back! *Management: if you guys can come up with a faster way for clean plate exchange, that would really reduce the additional line beside the pay for your meal check in line.

Went to Shakeys yesterday (Thursday) with my family. The restaurant was clean and the employees were great. We celebrated my nephews birthday. Food came out on time, and I really can't emphasize how great the employees were. I wish i knew their names to thank each of them personally. I'll definitely be back..
